As a matter of integrity we encourage all client body corporate committees and owners to always act in the best interest of their body corporate, rather than be confused by any individual’s wants and needs.

Without question, we advocate and demonstrate our respect for the decision making accountability of the appointed committee. (In matters of financial decision making, particularly if the expenditure is over the committee expenditure limits, owners must be invited to vote at a general meeting).

Our role as manager is to provide committees with in–depth body corporate knowledge to enable bodies corporate to ‘act in owners best interests’ (all owners collectively) based on the fundamentals of the BCCM (1997) Act.

Interpretation of the Body Corporate & Community Management Act (1997) can be complex and legal outcomes are usually costly. StrataLink Services recommends that all community by law matters including parties, pets and parking, be dealt with sensitively without legal intervention using the dispute resolution process.

Given the serious business nature of committee responsibilities StrataLink Services is vigilant in ensuring committee insurance is in place for financial protection in case of any formal complaint against committee decision making.
